Pipestone Township is located on the rural eastern side of Berrien County, and is largely an agricultural community, with few residential areas. The community enjoys a good fire department that is shared with Berrien Township. It also has an excellent working relationship with the surrounding communities. The property values in Pipestone Township are very affordable.

Early Voting period ends November 3, 2024
November 3rd was the last day to vote early at Lake Michigan College.
This Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the polls will open at 7:00am at Pipestone Township Hall, 7185 N Elm St., Eau Claire MI.
The polls will remain open till 8:00pm on Tuesday.
Cemetery Fall Cleanup at Caldwell, Shanghai Memorial and Shanghai
Fall cleanup on all Pipestone Twp. cemeteries will begin on Oct. 15, 2024.
Please remove all summer flowers, décor, etc. from your loved one’s gravesites if you want to keep them.
Anything left after October 15, 2024 will be removed by the Sexton in the fall cleanup of the cemeteries.
Holiday flowers/wreaths can be placed starting November 15, 2024.

County Materials Management Plans
On July 5, 2024, Berrien County filed its Notice of Intent to prepare the Materials Management Plan (MMP) and has become the County Approval Agency as required per Part 115, Solid Waste Management, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act,1994 PA 451, as amended. The MMP will be a multi-county plan among Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties. Information about the MMP Planning Committee, along with committee meeting notices, will be posted at www.swmpc.org/materials_mngt.asp. MMP Committee Meetings are open to the public.
Township Board Of Review
The Township Board Of Review will meet:
3-11-2024 at 9:00 AM TO NOON and 6:00 PM TO 9:00 PM
3-14-2024 at 9:00 AM TO NOON and 1:00 PM TO 4:00 PM
Meetings will be held at THE PIPESTONE Township Hall, 7185 N. ELM Street, EAU CLAIRE MI.
No appointments are necessary.
Letter appeals will be accepted if received by 4 PM on 3-14-2024.
