Pipestone Township is located on the rural eastern side of Berrien County, and is largely an agricultural community, with few residential areas. The community enjoys a good fire department that is shared with Berrien Township. It also has an excellent working relationship with the surrounding communities. New Hardship-Poverty Application
There are new hardship-poverty application forms that need to be completed to request a poverty exemption. The new forms are Form 4988, Form 5737 and Form 5739. The forms are all available on our website under the Documents and Forms, then click on Permits and Forms or click on the link below to go directly to the folder with the forms. E. Eureka Road Intermittent Road Closure
LOCATION: E. Eureka Road, between Brush Lake Road and M-140
START DATE: Tuesday, February 7, 2023
ESTIMATED END DATE: Tuesday, March 7, 2023
PROJECT: In preparation for further road resurfacing in 2023, maintenance staff will be working to complete tree related work.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: E. Eureka Road will be closed to thru traffic for tree related work starting on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. E. Eureka Road will be closed to thru traffic between Brush Lake Road and M-140.
- Closure will occur in two separate sections, starting with the segment between Brush Lake Road and Clawson Road.
- No thru traffic will be permitted when closure is in place.
- Closure and work is expected to occur approximately between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm, Monday thru Friday.*
- Road is expected to being fully reopened overnight and on Saturday and Sundays.

New Fiber Broadband Internet is coming to Pipestone Township
Thanks to the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) grant and Berrien County Broadband Internet Task Force, Pipestone Township residents will soon have access to high quality fiber optic broadband internet service. Midwest Energy and Communications (MEC) has a grant to provide affordable internet service to most areas within our Township (reference the map). The grant covers the cost of running fiber internet in front of your residence, there is an installation and a monthly utility cost that the resident is responsible to pay. MEC has stated that internet service will start being available 2nd quarter/2022 which is now so connect with them right away to purchase service that provides a minimum 100 Mbit download and upload speed. If MEC does not provide internet service in your area of Pipestone Township, contact Supervisor Davis (supervisor@pipestonetownship.org), he is working on obtaining additional grant money to connect unserved areas within the township.
